kendra.jpgKendra is an internationally acclaimed coach, humanitarian and spiritual guide. Her journey to joy and abundance has come from tried and true experience. In her early 20's, she was diagnosed with Epilepsy, which put her on a quest for health, happiness and fulfillment. Rather than shrink with her diagnosis, ongoing seizures, and depression, she committed to living as fully as possible, devouring information  and experiences to transcend limitations associated with living with 'illness', using her diagnosis as a wake up call and opportunity. As such, she is well versed in what it takes for people to live at their optimum and be alive!

Through her travels, personal and spiritual journeys - such as her 6-day solo Vision Quest in Baja California, Mexico in 2003 & volunteer work in Nigeria, Africa - she has gained a keen understanding of key life principles, Universal laws and practices that lead to a purposeful, authentic and joyful life.

Today, Kendra leads thousands of people to transform their perceived limits, create happiness, and be fully alive. In particular she helps spiritually-oriented successful women bring their authentic self to life and business so they thrive in joy while creating prosperity.

She is quickly becoming known as a leader in spiritual thought, practice and the Law of Attraction and is writing her first book.

 March 10, 2010 OSSA Meeting

30 SECONDS TO IMPACT! with Sandy Bjorgen

Sandy provided an energetic presentation to one of our most well attended meetings of the year.  Get quick tips on how – in 30 seconds or less - to grab your audience, stand up and out with poise, and deliver a dynamic message. In this interactive, educational, and entertaining session with Sandy Bjorgen , you learn how to talk so people will want to listen, rather than tune you out! (This is an introduction to Sandy’s intensive Elevator Pitch Boot Camps: Part 1 gives business people the tools to develop powerful openers for their 30-second commercials and some sound bites for networking conversations; in Part 2, they go through a more intensive process to craft full commercials adaptable to different time frames - 15, 30, and 60 seconds.)

Sandy Bjorgen is the founder of IMPROV-able Results®, providing improvisation training for business people.  She teaches people to think and speak under pressure with more cool than they ever imagined possible and helps them stand out from the crowd as unique, creative, and captivating. The secret is preparation and regular practice in order to present themselves as confident, credible, and poised in public. She teaches everyone from CEOs to up-and-coming staffers how to put people at ease and build lasting relationships. Through IMPROV-able Results® proven techniques, clients learn to make better and faster decisions about what to say, how to say it, when to say it – and when to stop!

From our January Meeting

Cherie Tucker facilitated a lively discussion at our Wednesday meeting.  Her presentation on improving writing skills was a good reminder that writing properly is a skill that needs to be practiced!  She reminded us that writing was like picking the proper clothes to wear: you have to know the message you are trying to get across before you know how to write it.

In addition to her regular teaching of language and writing skills to businesses, Cherie has also taught a class for the UW Extension called Practical Grammar for Editors. And she is listed in THE GREGG REFERENCE MANUAL, Tenth Edition, as a professional colleague by its author, William A. Sabin.

For a few more tips from Cherie, log in to the message forum!
